We had the opportunity to exchange insights, doubts, fears and ideas. We listened to the voices of the inhabitants of Łódź, representatives of institutions, universities, companies, foundations and associations. We conducted talks with scientists and specialists. Let's sum up three months of work.
What meetings took place?
March 2 - the first Research Walk. 120 participants took part.
May 11 - Consultation Point. Over 300 respondents took part.
May 14 - May 22 - Creative workshops. The total number of participants was 84 people.
May 25 - the second Research Walk. 35 people took part.
Interesting ideas - what should occur in Łódź as part of Expo 2024?
During the meetings, the participants shared their ideas and expectations. What should be created in Łódź as part of Expo 2024? How can the space be altered? We wrote down some interesting ideas:
- the orchard of a blossoming apple tree,
- discovering Łódź rivers and using them as linear grouping of greenery,
- green themed murals,
- discount for entering the exhibition area for persons using public transport to arrive at Expo,
- leas for Łódź artists - vernissages, meetings, and events,
- a fountain park for children,
- in winter, natural ice rinks in parks,
- trampoline park,
- smart park – charging stations – OPEN PARK,
- construction of paths using the charging surface, for example for scooters,
- in the parks, shelters for protection from the rain,
- separate places for food trucks and campers, also used as outdoor places and for city events,
- park hubs - toilets connected with bicycle stations, information points, charging stations, for scooters, telephones, etc.,
- urban games in the park space constantly active for mobile applications,
- dog zones isolated by rose bushes, connected to a roofed place for the owners.
